Leelee Sobieski was born in June of 1982 in France. She currently lives in New York & Los Angeles with her parents and younger brother. When she's not acting, she attends school full time. Leelee wants to be a director someday in addition to acting. Some or her hobbies are painting, ceramics, poetry, martial arts, and horseback riding. Her father's name is Jean Sobieski, who is a French painter. Leelee is an extraordinary young actress. She was discovered by a casting director in a New York City school cafeteria who suggested she try acting, so she decided to take the advice. She started out in a school play in Miami, Florida, and from there she acted in shows like "FX", "Grace Under Fire," "Home Court," telefilms like "Reunion" with Marlo Thomas and Peter Strauss and "A Horse For Danny" with Robert Urich, and movies such as "Canadian Bacon Promo," "Jungle 2 Jungle,"A Soldier's Daughter Never Cries," "Deep Impact," and the upcoming "Eyes Wide Shut" with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. Way to go, Leelee! Good luck in the future with all you do! If you haven't seen Deep Impact yet, see it TODAY! It is obviously the best movie that she has starred in, and overall it is one of this year's top 10. However, you are running out of time to see it in the theater, and I recommend the theater experience because of the spectacular special effects.
